Stay Smiling, The Lord Is Coming Soon! My kind of smile

How many times have we doubted with fear, worried about finances, anxious about our livelihood, cowed weak in ill-health, wondered in hopelessness and depressed with our future? If that is you and life seems bleak , read on God’s Word:

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.  Philippians 4:4-9 (NLT)

Rejoice not because life seems bleak, but rejoice because the Lord our God is coming! Whatever you may be facing, whatever giants you have in your life right now, like little David facing off with the giant Goliath, you see not the giant but the imminent coming of the Lord.

Stay Smiling, The Lord Is Coming Soon! Smile #2

If there is anything troubling you, just tell your Father God. Stay smiling and stay in His peace, and something that exceed human understanding, something we don’t understand but nevertheless enjoys. And this peace is our guard, our promise and our witness; that we are not orphans but precious children of God.

Don’t dwell on the negativity of the world. But think of the deliverance Jesus had brought you out of, the gratefulness of the cross, the promises of a hope and bright future.

In the midst of the storm, we are like a lighthouse standing on the immoveable Rock. The waves can pound and the winds can howl, but our light shines brighter than ever in this darkness, our finest hour.

Smile, because God is smiling at you.
