How Can We Make God Smile?

How can we make God smile?

We can make God smile by pleasing Him. How can we please Him? We can please Him when we recongise we are totally dependent on Him; and in Christ we are more than perfect.

We can love Him, trust Him, obey Him, praise Him, thank Him, and honour Him with our lives and talents.

But most of all, God is smiling when we are smiling at and with Him.   So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God. Romans 5:11

And when our King of kings smiles at us, get ready for his pouring love; When the king smiles, there is life; his favor refreshes like a spring rain.  Proverbs 16:15

    Hi kingdavid,

As a father, I remember vividly one incident in which my son really made me smile:

I was walking towards my HDB block when my youngest son (about 8 years old then) who had just alighted the school bus saw me, gave me a big smile and ran towards me shouting, “Daddy!”

I think when we acknowledge God as Daddy and approach Him with this joyful intimate attitude, He will definitely smile at us 🙂

Thanks for your sharing Stanley… God is definitely smiling at us right now, it is something beyond our comprehension.

We can smile because He first smiled at us, and when we acknowledge Him smiling, it makes Him give a even bigger heartwarming smile…

And then get ready for some great loving and favour! Yippy!! 🙂

    David
