The God of Turn-Arounds, We havent turned around

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”   John 16:33

You may have many trials and sorrows here on earth, even right now. God never promised a life of roses, at least here on earth. In fact, we are to expect trials and sorrows. But then, didn’t Jesus came so we can have abundant life? Well, that’s the difference between those whose faith is in Jesus rather than in the world. Adversities and trials do sneak up on us, it was never God’s intention to inflict them on us. But do you know these are also opportunities for God to demostrate His power and love for you; to push you to a higher place. What the devil meant for evil, God can turn it around and make it for good!

Be of good cheer, take courage, be confident, certain and undaunted!

Simply flip through the Bible and there are many good examples for how our amazing God turned evil around for a higher good and purpose. The most amazing probably being Joseph, son of Jacob, see here. Being the youngest and favourite son, Joseph had an easy and wonderful life. But a chain of vicious and shocking events took place that he was reduced into slavery and the lowest prison. A bright young man, out of injustics and mistreatment of others, scraping through the worst human civilization can offer. But our God of Turn-Arounds took the adversities and trials, turning it around, and took Joseph higher than whatever he dare to dream of. God not only restored all that was stolen from him but more than what he can ever think of, see here.

The God of Turn-Arounds, Turn Around

None of us enjoy tough or bad times. But we can stay in hope and faith knowing that our God will never forsake us in the storm. Instead, He will not waste the opportunities of the pain and trouble that we may have to go through, turning it around for a better good, higher than we can ever imagine; better than where we started out from.

Many a times, we kept thinking back if we have made the right move or why we made the mistake that resulted a bad situation. We kept the focus on ourselves; our inability and our mistakes. But God wants us to focus on Him, to have peace in Him. Nevermind our past, what is important is the present.

We don’t have to do everything right, we don’t have to conquer the world; Jesus already did. We just need to hang on to Him. Hold on to this truth, and you will come out of any adversity better than when you first entered…

    Hi Stanley,

Glad God has spoken to you through His Word. We are all waiting for our little turn-arounds in our lives. But sometimes we have to remember that our greatest turn-around has been when He came into our lives…

We turned around from imminent death into an abundant everlasting life!

    Blessings!
    David
