Unreached People, Kalash, the story tellers of Hindukush,

What happens to people who never had a chance to hear the Good News and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior? How does God judge or knows if their salvation is assured?

Well, He knows… and its no hocos-pocus… it is clearly explained in His Word.

– Creation

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.   Romans 1:20

Creation is God’s witness. In the absence of witnesses for the Gospel, nature demostrates God’s greatness and majesty. Nothing works in the world without God. The next time you see a beautiful sunset, know that God is showing His hand.

– Human Conscience

Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it. They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right.   Romans 2:14-15

The difference between humans and animals is the presence of conscience in humans. The divine instinctive knowledge of right and wrong. Untainted, human conscience is a God given law written down with the heart. The very fingerprint of God.

– Dreams and Visions

For God speaks again and again, though people do not recognize it. He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds. He whispers in their ears and terrifies them with warnings. He makes them turn from doing wrong; he keeps them from pride. He protects them from the grave, from crossing over the river of death.   Job 33:14-18

Unreached People, Karo woman Ethiopia

Throughout the Bible, God reveals Himself or His plans in dreams and visions. So it is not strange that God can reach out to people to His message through dreams and visions. Konown phenomenons has been recurring in the world where men and women – without any knowledge of the Gospel and without any contact with Christians – have been forever transformed after experiencing dreams and visions of Jesus Christ. Reports of these supernatural occurrences often come from “closed countries” where preaching the Gospel is forbidden and where converting to Christianity can invoke the death sentence. A common denominator appears to be that the dreams come to those who really want to seek and know the real God.

Its wonderful to know how merciful and meticulous our God is. He just had everything thoughtful planned out. In this age of internet and aviation, the Gospel has gone to places never thought it could go. It wouldn’t be long that the Good News will travel to every corner of the world as prophesied in the Bible. And then, our Lord Jesus will come!

It took an eternal God to save us from eternal condemnation into an eternal life…

Excerpt: Most of us have thought how much easier it would be to follow God if we could just see Him once. The truth, though, is that He is all around us. We just fail to recognize the evidence. There are many things, like gravity for example, which we can’t see, but that we know are real because we see their effects on the world around us. In the same way, we can’t see God, but we can see Him at work in this world. He is making Himself known, and the proof is all around us.

The Bibles Dinosaurs, Spotlight On Rhododendron

Many people especially Christians wonder if the fossil existence of dinosaurs contradict with the accounts in the Bible. Where do dinosaurs fit in the biblical account of creation? Well, we may not know exactly the answer to these questions but there sure are mentions of strange animals in the Bible. And no, we are not talking about Barney.

The Bible's Dinosaurs, Triceratops

In the King James Version, Job 39:9-12 speaks of a strange untamed creature called the “unicorn”, and it may not be the white graceful horse with a uni-horn on its head we all thought. While some version of the bible translations called it “wild-ox”, some proposed that the original Hebrew word re-em describes more of a type of rhinoceros-dinosaurs, maybe similar to triceratops.

In Job 40:15-24, another creature called the behemoth which has a tail like a cedar tree. Now cedar trees are huge and can grow up to over 40 meters with a trunk diameter of over 2 meters. Some scientist believed this creature is called brachiosaurus.

The Bible's Dinosaurs, Behemoth

The description of leviathan monster that dwells in the deep seas in Job 41 and that they breathe fire. Hmmm… glad they are extinct, if they really are.

Best & Worst Case Scenario, Living in a pack

With my real innocent posting on God’s Intelligent Design, after I bought a book, little did I know, I have unwittingly and unknowingly stepped into a landmine of controversy of God’s Creation verse Evolution’s Godlessness. Frankly, I am not quite prepared for the hard-heartedness, thoughtless and mud-slinging bombardments. I did my own little homework mainly from the book I trusted most, the Bible, and wrote Did Jesus Affirm Creation? and somewhat related like The Intelligent Thing: Don’t Use Too Much of Your Brains and Knocking on Heaven’s Door.

It also sets me thinking: why would someone so much wants the theory of evolution to be true? Lets look at it in a cynical and pragmatic perspective. Suppose IF, evolution is right, what does it mean? It means that we are all here by chance; we evolved from furry things that evolved from scaly things that evolved from greenish things. It means that this is a cold, impersonal world and we are pure physical material things. And the BEST case scenario if evolution is correct – when we die, we go back into the material earth to be recycled to support other life; Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust.

However, what will be the WORST case scenario for all those who hold on to a godless evolution and it turns out wrong? An eternal BBQ? Not a nice thought…

For a believer in Christ, if we are right, what will be the BEST case scenario? We will be granted entry into a divine place call Heaven. A place of eternal joy, a place of unspeakable beauty, where God Himself dwells with believers, where there is no pain, no tears, no sin, no sorrow. Where we reign with Christ forever and ever.

While heaven will be a place of perfection and beauty, promises from the Bible tells us we don’t have to wait until we get to heaven to enjoy the bountiful gifts of grace. At the very moment we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, gees, are we in for a treat! We are deeply loved, highly favored, richly blessed and lavishly given by our Redeemer. It is not about who we are but who He is. Unearned gifts and unexpected pleasures bring the most joy, and that is what we are experiencing. All because grace abounds us when Jesus died on the cross and take away our sins. Living a life true to one self, with foucs and refusing to believe that our lives that was filled with guilt and shame lead to nothing but death. We hope to go to another place that run by different rules, a different life altogether.

To know Jesus Christ as our personal savior is a wonderful and fulfilling way to live this present life. Happiness and joy comes when we look away from ourselves and look first to God and then to others. Our hope and peace is to look forward to spending all eternity with our lovely Lord in heaven.

WORST case scenario, so what if we are wrong? Well, at most, we become worm food – Dust to Dust.

So comparing both set, what is common here? Yes, the BEST case scenario of Evolution’s Godlessness is the WORST case scenario of God’s Creation. The best evolution can hope for is a meaningless existence of “you just happen to be here” and the worst being the eternal punishment. The best a God centered life can reap is an eternal bliss with Almighty God in heaven with the worst being a life lived with passion, hope and grace that didn’t happen at the end.

This is purely a logical pragmatic comparison; no sugar coating, no who is right and who is wrong, no “what if”, no maybe. It is a choice and a choice to make. It actually takes more faith to believe in some impersonal forces at work than a personal loving God who cares for you at this and the other side of life. What would you want to believe in? How would you want to live your life?

In one of my post, Creation God’s Creation and Evolution’s Godlessness, one of the main point of contention was that Jesus treated Genesis as though it actually happened, as with all the apostles. There is no account in the New Testament that they refuted Genesis. In the post, creation was addressed somewhat, through the Scripture from Apostle Simon Peter and Paul.

But I am not really satisfied with that, I want something concrete and straightforward from the Bible, especially from Jesus. If something that is so important and critical, then I am sure Jesus must have affirmed it during His ministry. I didn’t have the answer then, but I didn’t have to wait long for His reply either. When it was revealed, you will see why I was quite amazed because the passages are quite common, sitting just under our noses.

Jesus Affirms Creation

“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.   John 17:24 (New International Version)   Context

And Jesus answered and said to them, “Because of the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.   Mark 10:5-6 (New King James Version)   Context

In the above passages spoken by Jesus, not only did Jesus not refute Genesis, He actually went a step further and affirmed creation as of Genesis. If the Bible says Jesus Himself affirms Genesis, who is to say Genesis is inaccurate? What is your stand then?

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?   Matthew 6:26

If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?   Matthew 6:30   Context

Jesus Affirms Creation, The Palm of your Hand

More impressively, in the Sermon of the Mount, Jesus further revealed that the Father God is not an absentee father where He left His creation on its own as proposed by theistic evolution. The idea that God used evolution to create the world is simply not right, because any idea of evolution will take God out of the picture completely.

We don’t have an absentee Father. It is God who is ever holding the world on the palm of His hand, looking after it constantly, not left to chance. We are beautifully and wonderfully made. Our Father God is a loving Father that is sovereign and actively taking care of the world, feeds the birds and clothes the field; How much more you?

Don’t let anyone rob you out of that truth.

God's Creation vs Evolution's Godlessness

Many people believe in both God and evolution without much of a thought. The term theistic evolution is the idea that God used evolution to create the world. Life supposedly originated from non-living chemicals, just as the atheistic evolutionist says it did, and all modern forms of life are thought to have then developed from the first one-celled organism by mutation and natural selection. The difference is that God supposedly created the initial materials and set up the natural laws, then guided the whole process. Theistic evolution has enormous appeal. It seems to offer the best of both worlds. It is convenient and offers the comfort and fulfillment of believing in God, and at the same time the security of fitting in with the major scientific consensus.

However, in accepting evolution, we are also rejecting key Christian foundations. We thus reject the traditional date and authorship of many books in the Bible, which in itself represents an undermining on the confidence of Scripture. If we cannot trust the Bible when it makes straightforward-simple claims, then can we trust it when it makes much more important-invisible-spiritual claims? Any book with chapters one and two disputable, the integrity of the entire book is invariably condemned.

If the Genesis’ account is NOT “dot accurate”, whatever that is written then: the trinity of God, the direct power of God into the reality and materials, the relationship between man and God, and more importantly, the Fall of Man are all questionable. And if that is the case, God’s grand plan for the redemption human race prophesized throughout the Old Testament, and in the New Testament, the purpose of salvation found in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross falls part; together with all the love, faith, hope, and the promised future. The entire Bible will then fall apart!

To all believers there is another major contention: Jesus treated Genesis as though it actually happened, all the apostles do, there is no accounts in the New Testament that they refuted Genesis. In fact, quite the opposite as we will see in the Scripture later. So looking at the Bible, Genesis 1-2, God made plants, trees, water creatures, birds, livestock, land creatures, wild animals, individually => according to its kinds. And finally God created man in his own image (note: its singular). There is neither evidence of macro-evolution of cross species, in the bible nor in fossil records nor in human history.

God's Creation vs Evolution's Godlessness, cloudscape2-low

The Bible is not silent about these false teachers and their teachings, See Simon Peter’s full letter here.   But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.   2 Peter 2:1-3

There will be scoffers at the last days to ridicule the bibical accounts. Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.   2 Peter 3:3-6

God is made know plainly, His eternal power and divine nature is obvious, there is no excuse and no doubt about it. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of human beings who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal human beings and birds and animals and reptiles.   Romans 1:18-22

Therefore I believe you can only accept the biblical accounts of God’s Creation or man’s account of Evolution’s Godlessness, there is no in-between.

Don't Reply On your Brains, Too Much - Wisdom of Einstein

Okay, so now I have your attention. And no, this is not a cheap trick to lure you in. I meant the title above quite literally. Human often has thought they are superior to all of creation due to their intelligence. Yes, CREATION. We often analyze a question, or a problem, or a situation to get to the bottom of things. We progress along the way in knowledge as we know more, but either we find there is more questions like discovering a long black tunnel or invariably we will come to a ?, a question mark, at the end of the quest.

We have to admit at some point in time, that we are very limited in our own little human intelligence, a race as a whole. Only then can we recognize and confess that how humble our “intelligence” really is. And with that critical point acknowledged, can we then be modest with our intelligence. Just think, there was a time not so very long ago, when humans believed that the earth is flat.

Everything is Meaningless. King Solomon apparently the wisest man ever lived, had devoted himself to study and explore with wisdom all that is done under the sun (Ecc 1:13). He wanted to see what was worthwhile for people to do during the “few days of their lives”, a short span (Ecc 2:3). He wanted to know what a man gains for all his toil (Ecc 3:9). He took us on his own journey to answer these questions. Ecclesiastes chronicles his experimentation with wisdom, folly, pleasure, laughter, wine, great projects, wealth accumulation, sex, and hard work.

I applied my mind to study and to explore by wisdom all that is done under the heavens. What a heavy burden God has laid on the human race! I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind.   Ecclesiastes 1:13-14

Alas, there is nothing but frustrations. Solomon demolishes even the possibility of finding any meaning apart from God. He wants us to see this: Apart from God, life has no meaning.

Don't Rely On Your Brains, Too Much - Einstein Poster

So looking back, does it satisfy our intelligence more that we came from animals that swing on trees and that where we come from and where we end up is of no meaning whatsoever, a chasing after the wind? Or the more promising and comforting knowledge that there is a greater intelligence, a higher sovereignty, a loving and personal God above us, that is hoping for us to be liberated and brought into the freedom and glory?

For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.   Romans 8:20-21

Which will you choose?
