Someone forwarded me this; I really liked it and have built on it. You see, many heroes from the bible have these defining moments in time where, what they spoken or declared in a statement of faith, raised them up, setting them apart in exalting the Lord. It expresses their relationship with God, their faith and their perspective that we all would like to model from.

More importantly, it shows us what a God we have and, really, what a God!
Be yourself
What would you tell yourself every morning as you start the day or whenever you faced a challenge ahead?

Abel would say, “The best portions is for the Lord.”

Noah would say, “I will do exactly what the Lord has commanded.”

Enoch would say, “I will not see death as I’m walking in close fellowship with God.”

Abraham said, “The Lord will provide.”

Sarah said, “God has brought me laughter.”

Isaac said, “Where is the Lamb?”

Jacob said, “I won’t let go of You unless You bless me.”

Joseph said, “God has made me fruitful in this land of my grief.”

Moses said, “Lord, if You don’t go with us or before us, we are not going anywhere.”

Rehab said, “The Lord is the supreme God of the heavens above and the earth below.”

Joshua said, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Gideon said, “Get up! For the Lord has given you victory.”

Samson prayed, “Sovereign Lord, remember me again. O God, please strengthen me just one more time.”

Ruth said, “Wherever you go, I will go.”

Samuel said, “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.”

Nehemiah said, “The joy of the Lord is my strength.”

David said, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I have all that I need.”

Solomon said, “Give me an understanding heart.”

Isaiah said, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.”

Jeremiah said, “The Lord has plans to prosper me and not to harm or fail me.”

Jabez said, “Oh, that you may bless me and enlarge my territory.”

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego said, “We will not bow down to any image but will serve the Lord.”

Ezekiel said, “Any dry bones in my life, live again.”

Peter said, “I will cast my cares upon the Lord for He cares.”

John said, “I am the disciple whom Jesus loves.”

Paul said, “The Lord will supply all my needs and I can do all things through Christ.”

I can dream

Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out all the people buying and selling animals for sacrifice. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves. He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves!”

The blind and the lame came to him in the Temple, and he healed them. The leading priests and the teachers of religious law saw these wonderful miracles and heard even the children in the Temple shouting, “Praise God for the Son of David.”

But the leaders were indignant. They asked Jesus, “Do you hear what these children are saying?”

“Yes,” Jesus replied. “Haven’t you ever read the Scriptures? For they say, ‘You have taught children and infants to give you praise.’”   Matthew 21:12-16

We are all quite familiar with the account of Jesus driving off all the merchants buying and selling within the temple grounds. This is an account where for most of the time, we learned of Jesus’ indignation with regards to the degradation of the religiosity of the Jewish temple, to a greed driven machinery that is so far away from the heart of God.

After Jesus healed the blind and lame there, the children, in their innocence, praised God with much shouting. The corrupted leaders were not pleased, and even questioned Jesus. And our main focus here was Jesus’ reply:

‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have perfected praise’?”

Matthew 21:16 (NKJV)

You see, Jesus quoted a portion of scripture from Psalms 8:2 which reads:

Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have ordained strength,
Because of Your enemies,
That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.

But there is an obvious divine twist here. In New International Version (NIV), it reads:

you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.

So if we line them up on the same term, Jesus has revealed the key here:

-> give You (God) praise -> You (God) have ordained (or give) strength -> You (God) silence the enemy and the avenger

So you see, the revelation is that if we praise and worship God, even when with our handicap, even when we are faced with difficult and surmounting circumstances, and with a bleak-black vision or future; God will give us the strength to persevere and He will see to it to silence the enemy and avenger; our enemy, our avenger.

Worship

The weaker we are or the bigger the problem we face, the more we need to praise and worship God; because through it comes our bigger help and our bigger stronghold, and our bigger defense from our Lord!! The final silence of our enemy and avenger will be oh-so-sweet.

My current favourite-est song… you need to hear this!

Verse 1
I cast my mind to Calvary.
Where Jesus bled and died for me.
I see His wounds, His hands, His feet.
My Saviour on that cursed tree.

Verse 2
His body bound and drenched in tears.
They laid Him down in Joseph’s tomb.
The entrance sealed by heavy stone.
Messiah still and all alone.

Chorus
O praise the name of the Lord our God!
O praise His name forever more!
For endless days we will sing Your praise!
Oh Lord, oh Lord our God!

Verse 3
And then on the third at break of dawn,
The Son of heaven rose again.
O trampled death where is your sting?
The angels roar for Christ the King.

Chorus

Verse 4
He shall return in robes of white,
The blazing Son shall pierce the night.
And I will rise among the saints,
My gaze transfixed on Jesus’ face…

Chorus

Oh Lord, oh Lord our God.
Oh Lord, oh Lord our God.

And God is able to make all grace (every favour and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].   2 Corinthians 9:8

Skyhole - Sun is up in Punta Cana, DR (On Explorer 7/14/2015)

Our Lord is such a good God.

In the world, the principle to get good blessings is for people to do good deeds. But if they did something wrong, then all hell demands pay back and punishments. Most people simply hoped that their “good works” is slightly more than their bad; so just enough for them to get away with it or to hopefully squeeze through the cracks at the pearly gates.

However, that’s just not the way to live…

Instead, the Lord took our weaknesses, our sorrows and our pains. He took our punishment for our sins and rebellion against the righteous God, the Father. Jesus Christ, the Son took all our wrongdoings at the cross exposing Himself to death, so that we can be counted righteous and able to reconcile eternally with the Father.

And as if like that is not enough, God still generously provide all earthly grace; on top of the divine grace of salvation at the cross. We are not only living a life that is not guilty of any sins, wrongdoings or even inadequate right-doings; we are living a life that is fully provided and taken care for!

And because we are so blessed and are prospering where we are placed, we are to be a blessing to the less fortunate ones and also to share the Good News that this kind of life (in God’s grace) exist and avaliable through this Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Untitled

God is ready to overwhelm you with more blessings than you could ever imagine so that you’ll always be taken care of in every way and you’ll have more than enough to share. Do you want it? Do you want to share it?

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for the wonderful life I have, and because it was Your life for mine. You took my cursed life and made it good. You are my source of my inheritance and blessings. I am rich and highly favoured. I am fully protected in You and are restful in You. I am deeply loved by You. My heart is glad and joyful as Your Holy Spirit leaps and carries me. You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Lord, You alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine.
The land You have given me is a pleasant land. What a wonderful inheritance!

I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me.
I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me.

No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety.
For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your holy one to rot in the grave.
You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.
Psalms 16:5-11

I'm Held By Your Love

On this lovely day, did you have your love encounter with Him yet?
He is waiting for you…

I have chosen you and have not rejected you.

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:9-10

I’m held by Your love
Upheld by Your strength
On Your shoulders You bore me
By Your faith I stand
Cherished by You, Lord
Treasured in Your sight
So close to Your heart
Held firm in Your hands

Chorus:
So awesome is Your love
So mighty is Your hand
On eagle’s wings You carry me
Your grace shall be my strength
So perfect is Your love
You sacrificed Your Son
Amazing love reached out to me
With joy to You I come

In Evils Days -> Sing & Make Music To The Lord

Everyone now have no doubts that we are all living in evil days; – major ones. This is especially so this year, 2014; and probably also the next, if you have read previously The Coming Of The Four Blood Moons. While the blood moons prophecies are squarely for Israel, it nevertheless has big repercussions throughout the world. We are not even into the fourth quarter of the year and we have witnessed much terrors from wars, calamities, terrorisms, religious military coups, plane crashes, to uncontrollable virus epidemics; tragedies enough to last a lifetime. These are evil days, indeed.

However, the Lord has been impressing on me with this portion of the Scriptures:   Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.   Ephesians 5:16-20 (NLT)

You see, God the Father has already prepared for us, in these evil days, for the evil days. Do not waste your life away worrying or being anxious. While we have no control over the dire situations, we have our God who has and can, for our sake. God–The Father’s Promises For Your Protection are already covering you in place. You just need to know that and let your faith rise up. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John14:27). Don’t live thoughtlessly like the world but be filled with His Holy Spirit.

The key in overcoming these evil days, is to – sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs; making music to the Lord in your heart! Let the Holy Spirit lift up within you, empowering you to go forward in thanksgiving to the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. While the world worries on, we will sing praises to the Lord; while the world whimper in fear, we make music to the Lord, our God!

We are not drowning out the horrors with empty noise; pretending it’s not there. Like the good “hymn” says… It’s because our God is greater…

Sing Praises - 6+4 strings

I have always admired David that while he was still a shepherd boy, sing praise to God and making music with a 10 string lyre.   It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening, accompanied by a ten-stringed instrument, a harp, and the melody of a lyre. Psalms 92:1-3
In Evils Days -> Sing & Make Music To The Lord

I just gotten a set of 6 stringed guitar and a 4 stringed ukulele to learn on my own, that’s 10 strings too… Now, pray that God will also give me the talent to make music to the Lord. 🙂

Have a blessed weekend.
