“Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” Nehemiah 8:10

If the Joy of the Lord is your strength, then don’t give your strength away by being depressed. You see, it’s a myth; Joy is not an emotion or feeling, it is a fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23) and not dependant on circumstances. So don’t be robbed of your inheritance; your JOY (and your strength).

Be joyful! (Phi 4:4) Yes, you can do it, through the power of the Holy Sprit. The more joyful you are, the stronger you will become and then you will be even more joyful. You just need a spark to sparkle up your life, and that spark is Jesus Christ. You just have to allow the Holy Spirit to arise, because the Spirit just loves to lift Christ up in your life. And joy is the result and fruit of that!

Behold the Lord Jesus and let that Joy fly!

While writing the post, Vision 2014 – Victory Through Christ Who Loved Us, unknowingly my “defeat” was being prepared at roughly the same time. I got to know the news officially on the very first day of the new year, which was rather upsetting.

If you are someone who is still waiting for your victory or has received bad news, hang on! Know that The Lord will turn mourning into dancing (Ps 30:11-12). What the enemy meant for evil, God will turn it around for your good! (Gen 50:20)

Have Faith!   So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.  Romans 10:17

Our future is bright, not by what we see, but by what God had promised.

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.   Jeremiah 29:11

I Am Weak then I Am Strong

Those who humble in weakness before The Lord, will be reign in strength before the world!

For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10

With the new year ahead of us, 2013, it is a new beginning and a chance for fresh anointing and new blessings! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

In the world, a mistake is always recorded, (even if you are told otherwise); it’s recorded literally, electronically or even mentally. But God’s promise that anyone united with the Christ gets a fresh start, is created new. (2 Cor 5:17) So new, so fresh, so unrecorded that the person is like born again, a new-born, a new creation, fresh – with no records whatsoever.

A brand new beginning… very literally

There is a reason for that and I really like how THE MESSAGE puts it: He (Lord Jesus) included everyone in his death so that everyone could also be included in his life, a resurrection life, a far better life than people ever lived on their own. (2 Cor 5:15)

How would you view this new year?

I know mine, a resurrection life, so far the best yet!

Hmmm… Still here…

(21-12-2012)

We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing. 2 Corinthians 5:2

Deepest condolences to the families and the community of Newtown, Connecticut and to the nation of USA. During this extremely difficult time when Christmas is so close, such violent tragedy is simply indescribable. Such unconscionable evil is incomprehensible. Our hearts go out to you and we mourn with you.

The Lord is with you…

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds [curing their pains and their sorrows]. He determines and counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by their names. Psalms 147:3-4

Wise and loving parents will nudge their children from dependence towards personal freedom, hoping to groom independent adults.

Deep lovers, on the other hand, gladly give up this personal freedom into voluntary dependence on each other. In marriage, for example, one yields to another not out of compulsion and need, but out of love.

For God, I suppose, yearns for not the clingy and helpless, I-don’t-have-a-choice kind of love, but mature, thoughtful commitment, given freely out of choice kind of love.

If those words made sense to you, hope it helped.
I know it did for me…

Heaven is For Real!

I just finished a book, “Heaven is for Real”.

Heaven Is For Real

Heaven Is for Real is the true story of the four-year old son of a small town Nebraska pastor who during emergency surgery slips from consciousness and enters heaven. He survives and begins talking about being able to look down and see the doctor operating and his dad praying in the waiting room. The family didn’t know what to believe but soon the evidence was clear.

Colton said he met his miscarried sister, whom no one had told him about, and his great grandfather who died 30 years before Colton was born, then shared impossible-to-know details about each. He describes the horse that only Jesus could ride, about how “reaaally big” God and his chair are, and how the Holy Spirit “shoots down power” from heaven to help us.

Told by the father, but often in Colton’s own words, the disarmingly simple message is heaven is a real place, Jesus really loves children, and be ready, there is a coming last battle.

A simple a good read… in the crazy chaos we have to due with everyday, we sometime forget that we don’t belong here… and the real place where we are going, we don’t really have much of an idea of…

Another important highlight was that this boy after diapproving much of depiction of Jesus Christ, finally approved of an painting, which coincidentally painted by a child prodigy who also had a close encounter with the heavenly at age 4; www.akiane.com

Nature Lover

Sometimes going pass lush greeneries, I will stand and admire their simplistic beauty and form. In their randomness, I see order of life. In their colors and variety, I see creativity. In their propagation and growth, I see a care-taker.

However, in the concrete jungle, humans created for humans, people living in it are the king of their own urban world. Things work because people made them work. Lights are a flick of the switch away, water is simply a turn of the tap and we even control the temperature of our spaces. Feeling very “powerful” in our own artifical environment, we think and believe like we are our own god, where we control almost every thing.

But once place in nature, where we don’t control anything, we will easily feel the smallness of man. We are vulnerable and frail. The false sense of security, the self-centerness and power goes out the window. We would then feel like the mere human we really are, and will know instinctively that there is a higher power at work. Something invisible, yet visible right before our eyes.

The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun. It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race. Psalms 19:1-5

Put it in another way, the order and complexity of the visible, physical universe eloquently testify to the very existence of a creative God.

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. Romans 1:20

Whatever you maybe facing, stop looking at your troubles. Instead, take a step back and gaze at nature just around you and you be amazed what was troubling you in the first place do look a lot smaller. Not convinced? Take a look at the chirpy wild sparrows; and know WHO is ultimately in charge.

What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. Matthew 10:29-30

“The kingdom of God is within you.”  – Jesus Christ

The best insurance is coverage from heaven.

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes, and see how the wicked are punished.

If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!

The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”

Psalms 91

I need help…

I have been pondering about our faith in Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior, but on the other hand, the modern need for life, health and personal insurance. Do we put more faith in our Lord or in the insurances? While the answer is obvious, then do we need insurance then?

I believe insurances are tools God provided to help people who went into misfortune and need. I also believe Hebrews 4:16: “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”

Do we need much insurance then?

Appreciate your views…
