There are times when the battle seems too overwhelming, you are just too tired or too stressed to carry on; when things keep rolling down hill, wave after wave; when there never seems enough of supply and the needs keeps growing; there are times when you get so dejected and want to throw in the towel. You want to give up and surrender.
You are at the right place.
But we are not to surrender to the world. The turmoil and troubles will never end; remember the world is cursed, nothing good will ever come out of it. People who sow their seeds of their lives into the world, putting faith in their investments, whether time, money, hope, health, etc. into the world will reap what the world produces. There may be some good but mostly bad returns. There is, however, a better place.
For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you. Galatians 3:28-29 (NLT)
When we surrender our lives to Jesus, then that is where all the difference begins. When we are at our wits-end and when there is no more road ahead of us-only a steep cliff, we will then know our vulnerability and our weakness. It is good many does not need to stand at the cliff before surrendering to Jesus. But for those who do, upon surrendering to Jesus, have a good expectation in faith that a mountain will uproot and fill the highest cliff in front of you (Matthew 17:20), such that you can continue to walk high up above the clouds and not drop down to your death.
This is because once we belong to Christ, we are heirs to God’s promise to Abraham. It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God. Hebrews 11:8-10
If we can instead sow our seeds of our lives into the best investment there will ever be, then have a good expectation in faith that our returns will be greater than our imagination, even if we cannot see it immediately. Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1 But the time will come, and at its best, it will come.
All these are not because we can pep talk ourselves into it, grill ourselves into super-performers or manipulate the world with our minds or hands. We are because not only has Christ redeemed us from the curse, we also inherited the blessings promised to Abraham though the reconciliation work of the cross (Romans 5:11).
There are amazing things yet to be experienced by all who surrender their lives to Christ, born again through repentance and faith in Jesus. All our best is still ahead of us because our earthly mind cannot grasp the greatness of what lies ahead for believers. But we get glimpses of it by God’s revelation. And we see that the best is yet to come! Your best is ahead of you!

and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9
